Two new publications of interest to fund industry professionals are now available. PricewaterhouseCoopers just published a brochure that is unique in Luxembourg, compiling all information relevant in preparing financial statements of investment funds in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in Luxembourg ("Luxembourg GAAP”). The brochure "Illustrative annual report for investment funds in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP”, available in English, puts forward, in the form of an annual report reflecting the most common market practices, all information that investment funds typically submit under "Luxembourg GAAP". One of the goals of this brochure is to present the main information requirements from over 30 countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Hong Kong.
Ernst & Young, for its part, has just published the 2009 edition of "Investment Funds in Luxembourg - A Technical Guide." This publication of more than 200 pages provides an introduction to Luxembourg as a centre for investment funds, the types of funds available and a summary of the regulations applicable to the setting up and operation of funds. The 2009 edition includes the latest updates in terms of legislation and regulation and current and future developments in Luxembourg and the European Union.
