The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has renegotiated its double tax treaty with the United States, bringing it in line with the OECD Model
The minister of the Treasury and Budget, Luc Frieden, took advantage of his presence in Washington last weekend to renegotiate the double tax treaty that has existed with the United States since 1996.
An agreement modifying this treaty and including the exchange of information upon request between tax authorities will be signed in the next few days.
During the coming months, the Luxembourg authorities intend similarly to renegotiate existing tax treaties with their main economic partners.
