
Clearstream
Clearstream International is one of two principal European clearing houses through which more than 2,500 banks, financial institutions and central banks from around the world exchange shares and bonds.
Clearstream also handles debt compensation operations between banks.
The company settles over 250,000 transactions daily and is active in 45 markets.
Created in January 2000 by the merger between Cedel International (securities settlement services) and Deutsche Börse Clearing, Clearstream International has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Deutsche Börse Group since 2002.
